We really enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. Some of the food we had was just like Nepali food but others was Indian cuisine. We enjoyed either way.

A TASTE OF NEPAL IN THE HEART OF EDINBURGH !! I visited The Khukuri Nepalese Restaurant in Edinburgh last week, and honestly, it was such a heartwarming experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been transported straight back to Nepal. The atmosphere, the decor, the warmth—it all felt so familiar and comforting. The food? Absolutely incredible, every bite was packed with authentic Nepali flavors, just like home-cooked meals back in Nepal. It’s rare to find a place that truly captures the essence of Nepali cuisine, but The Khukuri nailed it. What made the experience even better was the amazing service. The sister who served us was so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Good food is one thing, but when it’s paired with such genuine hospitality, it becomes something special. If you're ever in Edinburgh and craving REAL Nepali food, this place is a must-visit. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

We visited this restaurant after a decade because of the pleasant experience back then. We weren’t disappointed. The food and ambience has improved , the service remains as personal as before. The swift and sweet service of our hostess Jenisha was truly special . Definitely recommend a visit.

Just a lovely place! I turned up on a busy Saturday night alone and no booking and they made space for me. Great, friendly staff, gorgeous subtle decor, not too jammed in like in other places, and the food was universally great. Good veggie selection too, and a more than fair price. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved the food… The veg jhol momos were a highlight and truly made our day. We also tried traditional steamed momos, kothey chicken momos, and the chili garlic paneer — all delicious. The veg thali was the perfect way to celebrate our visit to Edinburgh. What truly stood out was the incredibly friendly staff who took the time to introduce us to Nepali cuisine. A memorable experience all around.. Will surely visit again

What a find. Very friendly with excellent service. Food to die for and not expensive for the quality of the food. The restaurant filled up quickly and the food coming out of the kitchen smelt fab. Next time in Edinburgh we will be there for another meal.

Food was absolutely fabulous. Service was quick and very nice. We did not wait for food long, but we were quite early, so it was not very busy. Simple but nice interior, music not very disruptive - you can have a conversation without raising your voice. Would definitely visit again

Very good restaurant in Edinburgh. The food was amazing. The service was on point and all the employees were super friendly. It may be difficult to get a table at times so it is adviced to book one in advance. It also was very noisy during our visit but for us it wasn’t a huge issue. Definitely a recommendation if your in for amazing Nepalese food.
